Water Proofing Quilled Jewellery

Hi friends,

Many quillers would be Googling always to know more about waterproof for quilled jewellery. Here is the solution which i found recently after many experiments.

Take your finished quilled earring / jewellery, before adding it to the findings, coat it with diluted Fevicol MR(mix with little water) or the glue which you are using. Allow it to dry completely. Now take a flat brush and clear lacquer(Brand - ICI ).(it will be available in any paint shop). Coat your quilled jewellery with lacquer and allow it to dry in open place for a day. While coating try to do it in a ventilated area, sometimes the smell of the lacquer will suffocates. (Try Camilin Picture Varnish /Asian paints synthetic clear varnish(not good for white & light colours) too - almost same results)

You don't believe your eyes after seeing the end product, it hardens like plastic and is more attractive. I tried it under running tap water but nothing happened to it. is this the result you are searching for so don't wait, try it once and give your feedback. Here are my finished quilled earrings.

Hope you have noticed the glaze on it.

Thanks for visiting.

PS: If my works inspires you or you want to recreate, Pls do give a direct link to my post because i put my hard work in each and every design I make. Hope you all understand.
