Tutorial No line coloring technique

Hi Friends,

This month at Catchy challenge we have an interesting challenge. It is No line coloring technique.
CSCC #16 - No Line Coloring
(You can use any medium to color your images!)

Here is the step by step tutorial for No line coloring.

Step 1:
Stamp your image using a light colored ink.For my creations today, I used "Penny Black Petal Party" stamp set, Ranger "tea dye" Distress ink and Faber castel Water colour pencils.I have created a woody texture using score board and distress inks

Step 2:
Now colour the inside portion with light colour and edges with dark colour water colour pencils.I have done only with light colour.

Step 3:
Take a fine-tipped paint brush and some water and begin applying the water from inside out on your image.

Step 4:
Allow your image to dry and use it on your card as you wish.

My final card I created is here. Added pearls and hand written sentiment.

I hope you like it as much as I do!

CSCC#15- CAS + Picture Inspiration

Dear Friends,

On the 1st of June, i am here with my DT inspiration for Create something catchy challenges.

Here is my quilled CAS card

I have taken the inspiration of flowers and colours from the above picture. The background of my quilled birthday card was decorated with washi tapes & laces and distressed the edges with mowed lawn ink. Topped up with doily and quilled flowers, leaves, flourish and simple printed sentiment. Have tried my best to keep the card simple.

Have adopted the below sketch for this card

Mrs Sudha Murthy

Mrs Sudha Murthy - When I heard the news that Mrs Sudha Murthi will be visiting our premises, I was surprised and bit scared. She was my first inspiration at office, when I joined Titan in 2003, I came to know about her by a forwarded mail. I still preserve it. As She is the Chairperson of Infosys foundation, many things were going about her in my mind.

Finally the day came, I was really shocked to see her, a millionaire in a simple Saree and with no jewels. Her friendly smile gave me the comfort. The time i spent with her was like being with my Mom.

A down to earth person, the way she spoke, her humbleness & etc. – could feel a divine presence.

My crafty mind sparked to give her something being in office what will I make, I had only 30 minutes. Searched nook and corner of the table to get something. As I used to store the balance flowers, paper bits in a small box, luckily I found 3 punched flowers, two green strips, a single red coloured Quilling strip and some half pearls. Planned to make a special quilled flower pot with quilled roses for a special person and here it is.

It was like a reward for me when she happily agreed to take it with her. What else I need, thanking God for all this and feeling blessed.

Would like to link this to Crafter Corner Something special challenge.

Quilled Nameboard

Hi friends,

I had created a name board for Seema in Swap central India. Fixed the loose coils here and there and placed the beads in between. Filled the letters with crimped blue strips and decorated the corners  with white daisies and arranged the beads in a row. Daisies to show end of spring and start of summer.

Here is my work.
